Breathe Underwater

Our song, “Breathe Underwater,” highlights how we can feel alone and trapped during COVID-19 right now, but once this pandemic is over, things will get better. We highlight the optimism and light at the end of the tunnel because we feel as though people can forget that there is hope waiting for us and we will eventually be able to breathe underwater. Our music video visually demonstrates how we can stay connected and be together to create art even through virtual platforms. Even though we may only be able to see each other through our computer and phone screens, we still co-exist in each other’s physical spaces.

Our music video is for young creatives who love music and art, and those who want to explore new ways to collaborate to create art. We tried to target both English and Korean speakers by incorporating lyrics in both languages, as well as translating the lyrics in the video subtitles. This project pertains to reimagining the future of the creative industries because we believe that creativity lies in technology and collaboration. We demonstrate through our project that with the help of technology, we can all come together and create something new on a global scale.
